Since I was 15, I’ve been obsessed with home theater. I’d spend weekends at Sound Advice in Tampa, dreaming of owning my own high-end system. By 1999, I worked in the Home Theater department at Circuit City, giving demos and helping customers build their setups. That’s when I bought my first 5.1 surround sound system—a Pioneer AVR with Polk Audio speakers and a Velodyne sub. My love for home theaters only grew from there.
In 2006, my wife suggested we build a dedicated theater in our new home. It was a small space, but I jumped at the opportunity, starting with an affordable 103” screen and a used Klipsch system. It was a humble setup, but I was hooked.
Over the years, I’ve continued to upgrade and refine my systems, all while sharing my passion on YouTube through my channel, Youthman, where I guide others through the same journey.
Not long after I met Matt Moreman from Obsessed Garage in 2022, he shared with me that one day, he would like to do something cool together in the Home Theater space.
In 2023, Matt and I talked about his vision of how we might work together through Obsessed Home Theater. We knew we could make a much bigger impact on the Home Theater community than individually.
Through Obsessed Home Theater, we want to provide an end-to-end solution of curated Home Theater products that we personally have used and recommend.
I’ve always been passionate about sports cars. When I got my first car, a Toyota Supra, I took meticulous care of it. In 2014, I bought a black Z06 Corvette and dove deep into detailing. While searching for better ways to dry cars, I found Matt’s video on using a leaf blower without damaging paint. His approach clicked with me and made me feel less alone in my obsession with details.
Following Matt’s content led me to explore high-quality audio and video. By 2017, I was building home theaters and spent countless hours researching gear.
In 2020, we moved into a new home with a dedicated theater room, giving me a fresh canvas for my setup. I dove into research and discovered Michael’s (Youthman) channel through Matt’s recommendation.
Attending MWAVE in 2022 was a game-changer, as it helped me see products side by side and finalize my design. Connecting with fellow enthusiasts led me to host my first home theater gathering in June 2023, merging my love for high-quality gear with the community spirit I found through Obsessed Garage.
We aim to be the leading destination for high-quality, cutting-edge home theater solutions, blending exceptional technology with personalized service to transform every space into a state-of-the-art entertainment hub.
My journey with obsession began in childhood, where I’d sort and organize my Matchbox cars instead of smashing them. That same meticulous nature followed me into adulthood, leading to a diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder. My therapist once advised me to "get out of my own head," and that’s exactly what I did by creating Obsessed Garage.
Obsessed Garage started as a personal blog and quickly grew into a global brand, driven by my passion for detail and perfection. It began with a desire for highly specific information about car modification and evolved into a comprehensive platform offering everything from detailing supplies to pressure washers.
Now, I’m bringing that same obsessive attention to detail to Obsessed Home Theater. My mission is to create exceptional home theater experiences, combining my love for high-quality audio-visual systems with the meticulous standards I’ve always applied to my projects.

My love for audio started when I was a kid, thanks to my dad. He was all about sound—whether it was the home system in our living room or upgrading his car audio in the 80s and 90s with brands like Pioneer, Sanyo, Kenwood, and Sony. I’d spend hours sitting in the car, listening to music on cassettes and CDs, picking apart every detail. I drained the battery so many times that he had to jump-start it almost every morning, and yeah, he wasn’t too thrilled about that...
I really dove into the hi-fi world when I started selling car audio back in high school and my local car stereo shop, where I developed a deep appreciation for quality sound and installs. This passion soon expanded into home theater when i got a job at Circuit City, driven by a desire to help others create immersive experiences both on the road and at home.
My career at Obsessed Garage and now in Obsessed Home Theater has allowed me to combine this expertise with another passion—helping people. Leading the Support Team, I take pride in guiding customers through their own journeys, ensuring they have the right tools and knowledge to get the most out of their setups. Whether it's finding the perfect gear or resolving a technical challenge, I’m committed to providing the same level of care and obsession to detail that I would want for myself. While I consider myself a 2-channel guy at heart, a nicely done home theater environment is my second favorite happy place.
